At the Newberry Springs' CSD board meeting on March 23, 2021, the establishment of roadside vehicular "slow-down" speed signs on Newberry's main thoroughfares, and the problem of stray dogs and wildlife being killed by speeding vehicles, were discussed.

Director Vickie Paulsen made another political brain-fart by referring to stray dogs... "I don't mind if they get hit"  (and killed by a vehicle).

This cold proclamation ignores that loving pets are sometimes scared and "stray" from their properties due to unneighborly human fireworks, gunshots, or by visitors or delivery personnel leaving gates open.

Where is Paulsen's heart ?   As an elected board member, she should be representing all community members!

Director Victoria Paulsen's official CSD position is that it is OK with her if lost family pet members become roadkill.

"But these dogs that are being run over are... are stray dogs, pack animals, dangerous to us all, and I don't mind if they get hit.

When we run in... when we encounter dogs, they're not all friendly.  And, they should not be wandering 'round.  Nice dogs stay thar home."
