Newberry Springs Acquires       Limited New Road Paving    

First time paving is applied to a portion of Temescal.

      San Bernardino County Roads Department is in process of paving the dirt road sections of Temescal, Tioga and Tonopagh Streets between Malibu and Tujunga.  While these streets are not heavily traveled, this paving will have a major impact in dust reduction in these areas.

      The paving material being used is recycled highway grindings from an I-40 resurfacing project.

      Additional areas of Newberry Springs for similar paving are not known at this time; but look promising, as a result of an I-40 resurfacing (Rest Stop to Barstow) that is planned for 1st quarter of 2013.
