INCIDENT: PC 246.3, Negligent Discharge of a Firearm.
LOCATION: 34000 Block of Troy Road, Newberry Springs.
SUSPECTS: Armando Pedroza, 26 years of age, of Newberry Springs
Uriel Pedroza, 27 years of age, of Newberry Springs
Allen Owings, 27 years of age, of Newberry Springs
Ramon Cuevas-Cardenas, 29 years of age, of Newberry Springs
Eleuterio Venegas, 25 years of age, of San Gabriel
Luis Venegas, 21 years of age, of San Gabriel

SUMMARY
On May 28, 2018, at approximately 6:15 P.M., two residents in the
34000 block of Troy Road in Newberry Springs reported to Sheriff's Dispatch that
several bullets had struck their residence and vehicle. Deputies from the
Barstow Sheriff's Station responded and verified bullet holes were found at the
scene. After confirming that the occupants were not injured, the deputies
contacted a group of subjects in the desert approximately two hundred yards from
the incident location.
The group claimed they were riding motorcycles in the area.
After further investigation of the scene, a 7.62 caliber semi-automatic assault rifle
was found hidden in the bushes nearby. Fired cartridge casings matching the
caliber of the rifle were observed on the ground near the subjects' vehicles.
A bolt carrier, magazines, and live ammunition also matching the rifle's caliber was
located within one of their vehicles. All seven subjects were arrested and
transported to the Barstow Jail for negligent discharge of a firearm.
