Newberry's New (Used) Fire Engine

Should be in Newberry's service within two months.
The Newberry Springs Volunteer Fire Department will soon
be taking possession of a new (used) Rural Pumper fire engine. The engine
is currently in the East and will be undergoing some inspections before it
is transferred to Newberry Springs.
According to released paperwork on it distributed at the
CSD's June 30, 2023, Special Board Meeting, the engine is a 2009 Spartan 2000/1250
pumper, powered by a Cummins ISM 450HP engine with Jake brake, Allison 4000EVS
automatic transmission. At the Special Meeting, the CSD board voted unanimously
to make the purchase.
The engine has a 4-door air-conditioned cab that seats 6. The
unit has a side mount 2000GPM Hale QMAX single-stage pump, 1250 gallon poly tank,
20-gallon class A foam tank, 3 crosslays, and one front bumper line with foam
capacity, deck gun, Aluminum body with high roll-up doors on both sides.
Two 10' hard suctions, Hydraulic ladder rack with Ladders (24' 16'
10 attic). 10KW hydraulic generator, Command 6 head light tower with auto park, brow
light, electronic siren, Federal Q2B, dual air horns, and 2 wheel chocks.
The vehicle only has 19,500 miles on it, and only 1,900 engine hours.
A one-year warranty is included.
