Mojave Cross is reinstated upon its own land.
Cross land title was transferred November 2, 2012.
California VFW is now the new land owner.

Henry and Wanda Sandoz, past caretakers of the Mojave Cross, donated five acres of land to the
federal government so that the VFW would be granted the one acre of land that surrounds
the cross location. The Barstow VFW is now the local caretaker of the cross.
A new Mojave Cross was raised and placed on the original site on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in commemoration of Armistice - the end of
World War I.
