Fire broke out on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at the Billy Johnson property located at 33983 Condor Road, Newberry Springs.  No persons nor animals were reported injured.

    Billy Johnson was not at the scene.  One neighbor reported that Johnson was in Las Vegas.

    Fire personnel and equipment from Daggett, Yermo, the Marine Corp, and Newberry Springs responded to the noon fire.

    The property on Condor Road lies a few hundred yards north of Silver Valley Road in the western portion of Newberry.
