Matthew Yates Arrested Again!

A week after being arrested and caged for outstanding
warrants during a sheriff's raid that netted two alleged
Newberry Springs home invaders, Yates is caught again,
this time with stolen property.

INCIDENT:  PC 530.5 - Identity / PC 496 - Possession of Stolen Property

LOCATION:  Rimrock Road and Lovado Avenue, Barstow

SUSPECT:  Matthew Yates, age 28 of Barstow

SUMMARY

    On July 7, 2016, Deputy Mamon of the Barstow Sheriff's Station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the county area of Barstow.  The driver identified as Matthew Yates was contacted and found to be driving with a suspended license.  During the stop, Deputy Mamon located several pieces of mail and credit cards that were reported stolen.

    Yates was arrested for possession of stolen property and identity theft.  Yates was booked at the Barstow Jail; his bail was set at $50,000.00.
